THESE WHEELED CONTRAPTIONS LEAD TO NOTHING BUT MISERY

Poor Tia :( At least this time she didn’t need teeth pulled rather expensively out. And, really, I’m just glad she didn’t keep up the steady stream of beleaguered yowling the whole way from DC to Milwaukee – probably the trauma of me packing and running the dreaded vacuum cleaner had taken it all out of her.

Lucky she has such a short memory – she forgave me later that day!

I particularly like Tia’s appearance in panel #3. If Calvin and Hobbes taught us nothing else about cartooning, it taught us that a short character just barely peering over something in the bottom of the panel is inherently funny.

(Of course, it did teach us more than that. But if Bill Watterson had decided to stop with a single lesson, it would have been that one.)

and enormous mouths when someone is yelling, Calvin and Hobbes also taught us that those are hilarious.
